SONYNew Renders Of The Sony Xperia Z4 Spotted
The Sony Xperia Z4 has been part of several leaks over the past few weeks. While none of the leaks have been conclusive, we've been given to understand that the smartphone will pack identical dimensions as the Xperia Z3, which isn't exactly good news.
A new leak has now given us more details about this flagship, accompanied with an alleged render of the device. The source claims that these images are merely internal reference shots of the Xperia Z4 and not press images, which will probably be more polished and refined. This also explains why the lock screen and home screen look pretty identical to the Xperia Z3.
The leak also reveals that the smartphone will have no coverings for the micro USB port, revealing that it will not be water resistant. This is consistent with previous leaks which had claimed that the company was excluding this feature in order to save money. The back looks pretty similar to previous Xperia flagships, so expect no different in that regard. The handset also has front facing stereo speakers, much like the Xperia Z3.
Lastly, there's a physical camera shutter button on the handset, which is not a surprise considering what we've seen on older Xperia flagships. Sony is one of the few manufacturers who see value in adding a physical camera shutter button on their smartphones. While there are still some questions that need answering, it is quite clear that the Xperia Z4 will not be a major shift from previous Xperia devices, at least in terms of design.
