Next Yu Smartphone Will Be Seen Running On Cyanogen Lollipop
Micromax and Yu have gone public with their intention to offer the latest features on its products, thereby slamming Xiaomi for sticking with KitKat when Lollipop is the in thing. The brand which was reported to be working on new smartphone codenamed 'Project Caesar' will indeed come powered by Lollipop version of Cyanogen OS.
The comparison with its closest competitor is obvious and offering the latest Android version much before its Chinese counterpart, will go a long way in earning consumer's trust and respect.
We won't have to wait long to catch a glimpse of the new OS in works. The company is slated to release the same version to its Yureka smartphone later this month. This update will bring forth major Material Design changes to interface, slick design with added Cyanogen elements.
As for Project Caesar, we're not sure what to expect from the Yu v2.0 device, at least from hardware point of view. However, we hope that Yu tries to better its pricing of the next product and make it even more affordable, something Xiaomi has decided to stay away from.
More on Project Caesar and Cyanogen Lollipop will be shared in the coming days. Stay tuned.
