Smartphone space is crazy crowded these days with almost anybody looking to lay their bare hands in the market with phones that may or may not sell. Huawei hasn't done justice to its brand with smartphones in India, while Lenovo has laid down the gauntlet for other PC manufacturers to make the PC-to-mobile transition.
Both these brands will now be seen vying for space in the ultra-competitive segment i.e. 4G devices, wherein Honor 4X and A7000 will enable Huawei and Lenovo, respectively to ascertain their position in the coming years. The aforementioned devices are equally competent yet priced affordable, something that has become the theme of phone makers lately.
While Honor 4X goes for sale early next month (pre-orders have been made), Lenovo will be looking to gain on its Chinese rival in the coming weeks. So, while we wait for the devices to become available to consumers, take a closer (hardware) look at the latest affordable 4G entrants in the country.
Lenovo has constructed a compact device for a phablet form size and takes the upper hand over Honor 4X in that aspect. Pricing is another area where Lenovo might have upstaged Huawei but that's never the sole criteria for buyers in India (ask Xiaomi). Looking at the figures, Lenovo A7000 has the overall package, while Honor 4X stands out in the camera and battery space for now (more on that later).
