WhatsApp’s long awaited calling feature is now available for download for its app users on Android operating system. The company has for long been in the news for its voice calling feature. It first tested the calling feature by rolling it out to select users for some time, but now has finally taken it mainstream.
For those who want to know how to download it, follow these steps:
1. Download the latest version of WhatsApp from Play Store. The voice calling feature is available on the version 2.11.561.
2. Well, even after updating the app to the latest version, you will need to get an invite from the user who already has the WhatsApp calling feature activated. Only after getting an invite via WhatsApp call will you be able to activate the service.
3. After you receive the call, exit from the app and launch it again.
4. The service will now be activated, and a new option with a name Calls will appear alongside Chats and Contacts on the WhatsApp home screen.
5. Go ahead and enjoy the free voice-calling service* to call another WhatsApp user.
