
More Affordable 4G Smartphones Coming To India, This Time From Samsung
If you thought getting a 4G smartphones would cost you a bomb, then you might have to think again. There are already some interesting 4G smartphones available under Rs 10,000. And now, Samsung too is all set to get into the affordable 4G devices segment. Today, at an event in Bangkok, they have launched three 4G-enabled smartphones. These include: Galaxy Grand Prime 4G, Galaxy Core Prime 4G, Galaxy J1 4G. Priced Rs 9,900 onwards, all of the three devices are dual SIM phones, which would be available in India from the second week of March 2015.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Asim Warsi, VP, Marketing, Mobile & IT Samsung India said, "India is at the cusp of its digital revolution journey and we expect 4G technology to ise and push internet usage to an unprecedengted leve. Consumer demand is constantly shifting towards devices offering multi-tasking capabilities, 24x7 data connectivity with increased video consumption and real-time mobility solutions which enable global interactions. Galaxy Grand Prime 4G features a 5-inch qHD display, an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera with an ultra-wide view angle best suited to capture Groupfies. It runs on 1.2GHz Quad Core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. Onstorage memory is 8GB, which is expandable up to 64GB.
Galaxy Core Prime 4G features a 4.5-inch WVGA screen, a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. It runs on 1.2GHz Quad Core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. Onstorage memory is 8GB, which is expandable up to 64GB. It is powered by 2600mAh battery.
Galaxy J1 4G comes boasts of a 4.3 inch WVGA screen, 1.2GHz Quad core processor and 1GB RAM, and 2000mAh battery
It runs on 1.2GHz Quad Core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and has 8GB memory onboard, which is expandable up to 64GB. It is powered by 1,850mAh battery.
