First Look: Motorola's New Moto E Smartphone Variant For Rs 6,999
Motorola's newest Moto E variant is finally here in the country and will be available shortly with Flipkart only for Rs 6,999. The company stood out for its boldness last year with a refreshing product attitude and strategy that got rave plaudits both from; media and consumers. Fast-forward to 2015 and Motorola seems to have stuck to its guns with the Moto E successor. With every passing day, the mobile environment in India keeps changing but can Motorola buck the trend and replicate similar success with the new Moto E? Too early to answer that for you right now, so in the meanwhile, you can catch up on the looks, design and features of the Moto
The new Moto E has got bigger 4.5-inch display but still the same 960x540p resolution for some reasons. The best part about Moto E is the rich (and pure) Android 5.0 Lollipop experience and that clearly stands out among the other budget phones available right now.
Motorola has focused on design this time and that's clearly visible with the change in attitude and make of the new Moto E. Encased around matte finish body, the phone emits quality for its price and except for the bulky nature of the form size that Motorola prefers, we like the changes incorporated. Better than before.
The display isn't the brightest in market (HD display available for this price) but with Corning Glass 3 protection and oleophobic coating in tow, Moto E 2015 is fairly competent in its space.
Sadly, no improvement on the camera front, with a 5MP (but with auto-focus) still ruling the roost sans LED flash. Having said that, they've understood the craving of selfie these days, so in comes a VGA front snapper for the sake of it.
The battery remains non-removable, however to spice up things with colour Motorola has made sure you can remove the side panels replace them with more colour options of your choice.
The phone packs a faster Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and offering 8GB internal storage support, expandable further.
This dual-SIM phone supports 2G/3G with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB among others.
Motorola has taken its Moto X software features to the Moto E 2015 and this according to the company is a sweet deal.
Loaded with a 2390mAh battery, expect the new Moto E to last you more than a day with ease and stretching it even more shouldn't come as surprise either.
Has Motorola given its best with the new Moto E? Hardware (for price) seems to suggest otherwise but the company will be hoping to catch buyer's fancy and make use of second-time lucky syndrome. Stay tuned Moto E review coming up shortly.
