Hardware Details Of The Samsung Galaxy Tab A And Tab A Plus Pop Up

A new leak has shed light on Samsung's upcoming two tablets known as the Galaxy Tab A and the Galaxy Tab A Plus. Both will cater to the mid-range market segment according to the report, which means it won't go heavy on the customers' wallets.

It is said that the Galaxy Tab A Plus will be the first non-Note device to come with a stylus while in terms of hardware, the tablet is expected to share most of the features with the Galaxy Tab A.

Both tablets will be available in 8 and 9.7-inch models apparently, with the only difference being the inclusion of the stylus on the Tab A Plus variants.

The 8-inch models of the Galaxy Tab A and the A Plus will reportedly feature a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 410 chipset, a 1024x768 resolution display, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 5MP camera and a 4,200 mAh battery.

The 9.7-inch variants of the Galaxy Tab A and the A Plus will feature identical hardware but with a larger 6,000 mAh battery, 2GB of RAM and a Qualcomm APQ8016 chipset. All tablets will be available in WiFi and LTE models apparently.

We're guessing both tablets will be running Android 5.0 Lollipop by default although we haven't been able to confirm that yet. These tablets should see an official unveiling at the MWC month. Samsung is holding an event on the 1st of March for the announcement of the Galaxy S6 smartphone, but these tablets should be unveiled during the MWC event which begins a few days after that.
