Meet Lenovo’s New 4,000mAh Warrior

Phones with extra large battery is not a new phenomenon—especially for Lenovo that already has couple of phones in this category. Now, the company has added another warrior in this segment in the form of Lenovo P70.

This device comes with (hold your breath) a 4,000mAh battery and claims to deliver 18 hours of talk time and up to 696 hours of standby time on 3G network. Moreover, the Lenovo P70 does support LTE connectivity as well.

The device supports a 5-inch HD IPS display. Inside it, you shall find a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek (MT6752) processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage and Mali T760-MP2 GPU. You can expand the internal storage further via a microSD card. It is a dual SIM smartphone that runs on Android 4.4. It remains to be seen if the P70 gets updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop in the future, as the company hasn't mentioned anything about the same.

Another interesting thing to note is that Lenovo P70 comes with a Quick Charge feature, which allows the battery to get fully charged in about 3 hours. However, the company claims that charging the phone for just 15-minute charge will give you up to 4 hours of talk time.

For now, the device has gone live in China and is priced at CNY 1,399, but we are hopeful that it shall come to India soon.
