Motorola has finally unveiled its new flagship Smartphone called the Moto Turbo in India. The phone is an Indian version of the company’s Moto Maxx Smartphone and can now be pre-ordered on the company’s online retail partner Flipkart, which says that it will start shipping the phone from third week of March. However, those awaiting the launch of the phone might feel slightly disappointed to know that owning a Moto Turbo would be a costlier affair, considering that it is priced at INR 41,999. In case you are wondering that what exactly does the phone brings in terms of specs and features that could justify its price, read on.
A good visual experience!
Talking of the display of the Moto Turbo, the phone dons a 5.2-inch display of QHD quality which offers 2560×1440 pixels resolution. This AMOLED display of 2K resolution should offer a good visual experience considering that it has a pixel density of 565 pixels per inch. However, overall visual experience also depends on the viewing angles and color reproduction.
Dragon power inside!
The phone should work smoothly, considering that it is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 Krait 450 processor ticking at 2.7GHz, coupled with Adreno 420 GPU. The processor is paired with 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage.
Photographer’s delight!
With a 21-megapixel primary camera with auto-focus, f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash, the smartphone should be a good option for those who love camera photography. However, if you are a selfie enthusiast then you might not find the 2-megapixel front-facing camera good enough!
Turbo battery for longer life!
As we have mentioned already, Motorola Moto Turbo is essentially the Indian version of the last year launched Moto Maxx smartphone. The Turbo or Maxx in the name speaks for the phone’s USP, which is its massive 3,900mAh battery. The company defines the phone as “Maximum performance without limits”, and says that “The Moto Turbo is designed to keep pace with you, giving you the power and performance you demand without compromise,” to highlight the performance of the battery of the phone. If you go by the company’s claims, this massive battery can deliver up to 48 hours of mixed usage. In addition to that, the company promises quick-battery-charge mode that will be good enough to provide 8 hours of battery life, in just 15 minutes of charging.
Sweet Lollipop!
As far as the software is concerned, the phone comes with Android Lollipop out-of-the-box. An interesting part is that you get an almost raw Android experience on the phone, which means that there are very few additional elements used, without any major changes. Hence, the user interface is light and smooth.
Just for your information, Flipkart has announced a few offers for buyers of the phone. These offers include 100 percent cashback for a few buyers and other schemes like an extra 10 percent discount for American Express Card holders.
