First Possible Screenshots Of The OnePlus Oxygen OS Surface

OnePlus officially announced the name of its Android 5.0 ROM recently. Known as the Oxygen OS, this ROM is expected to arrive on February 12. Although OnePlus had mentioned that this ROM would be very identical to the stock Android experience, there was no visual evidence to prove this.

But thanks to a new leak which has surfaced today, we're getting our very first glimpse of the said OS. Evidently, there are quite a lot of differences from the Cyanogen OS 12, so users will be greeted to a complete UI overhaul.

The icons appear to be quite flat here, unlike CM where there were some custom square icons in place. OnePlus has promised the same level of customization as CyanogenMod, so we will have to wait for its formal unveiling to know more about that aspect.
We've reached out to OnePlus about when we see the first batch of OxygenOS powered devices in India and they only had to say this - "Not yet ready to say, but we'll let you know soon!" We're guessing the company wants to keep the surprise tightly wrapped until next Thursday.

Most of these screenshots only show the lockscreen, so not a lot is known about how other UI elements of the OS function. One screenshot gives us a folder view of apps, which seems quite out of the ordinary, especially if you're accustomed to stock Android.
From these screenshots, it is clear that OnePlus might have gone all out with the customization. But we will wait for the full unveiling to make sure if this OS is worth the hype.
This ROM is based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop which means there will be some Material Design elements on offer as well.
