BlackBerry Leap mid-range phone launched at MWC 2015, promises 25 hours of battery backup

 
Blackberry took the wraps off its long rumored Smartphone called the Leap at the ongoing MWC 2015, in Barcelona. The phone was rumored as the Rio though the company chose to name it the Leap.

The BlackBerry Leap is a mid-range offering from the company. The phone comes with an all touch panel, which has a 5-inch HD display of 1280×720 pixels resolution offering a pixel density of 294pixels per inch. The phone measures 144×72.8×9.5 mm in dimension and weighs at 170 grams.
 
Talking of processor, the phone is powered by a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Plus quad-core processor which is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card.
 
On the photography front, it adorns 8-megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2-megapixel selfie front-facing camera. The primary camera on the phone comes with 1080p video recording capabilities, and the secondary camera has 720p video recording capabilities. It houses a 2,800mAh non-removable battery, which as per the company’s claim can last for up to 25 hours. The phone supports connectivity options like LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and in terms of software runs on BlackBerry 10.3.1 OS.
 
The BlackBerry Leap is priced at $275, which is Rs 17,000 approximately and will go on sale next month in select countries.
