Motorola fans in India will be delighted to know that the company will be launching the Moto E second generation Smartphone at the same price at which the original Moto E was introduced in the country last year. The Lenovo-owned company has announced the price for its newly launched Moto E phone in India and has placed it at Rs 6,999. However, this price is for the 3G variant of the phone while the company has not yet released the price for the LTE variant of the device for India.
Motorola has put up a promotional video of the phone in which it has revealed the price of the new Moto E in India, as well as has mentioned that the phone will be sold through the company’s online retail partner Flipkart, like for all the previously launched Motorola phones.
The company unveiled the unlocked 3G version of the Moto E 2015 edition for $119.99 which approximately INR 7,450, which is slightly higher than the price at which it is actually launching the phone in India. Though the company has not yet revealed the price for the 4G LTE version of the phone for India, considering that it costs $149.99 which translates to approx. INR 9,300 the company might launch it for close to Rs 9,000 or less.
Talking of the specs, the 3G version of the new Moto E flaunts a bigger 4.5-inch qHD display and is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 32-bit chipset paired with a 400MHz Adreno 302 GPU, with 1GB of RAM. The 4G LTE variant of the Moto E second generation boasts a better processor. It runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with a 400MHz Adreno 306 GPU.
The phone comes with 8GB storage space. It also flaunts a front-facing camera, which was missing from the previous generation Moto E. However, the front facing camera is of VGA quality. There is a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera. On the software front, it runs Android Lollipop. Other features include of microSD card slot, connectivity options including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
