Just Like Xiaomi, OnePlus Set To Bring 16GB One Smartphone To India

Anything Xiaomi can do, OnePlus can match them step to step. Both Chinese brands are on a mission to revolutionize the way phones are perceived in the country and sold as well. Xiaomi may have the first-mover advantage with better brand recall but OnePlus is making sure that their position is no worse than its Chinese counterpart. And without much surprises both are battling out in the affordable flagship segment with their respective devices Mi 4 and OnePlus One.

OnePlus made the first up with its higher-storage One smartphone which was followed by Xiaomi doing its bit with Mi 4 albeit just the 16 GB model. Now with OnePlus selling 64GB variant, Xiaomi had no option but to bring forth its 64 GB model for Mi 4 as well.

So, making matters even more intriguing, OnePlus is now readying itself with the One 16 GB Silk White model for the Indian market. The phone has been listed on Amazon (as you can see) with pricing expected to be announced in the coming days. We'll be interested to see if OnePlus can manage to offer the 16GB One at lower than the price of 16GB Mi 4 in the country (priced at Rs 19,999).

OnePlus One sports a 5.5 inch full-HD display, running on CyanogenMod version software based on Android 4.4 KitKat with promised Oxygen update coming to devices very soon. It packs a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset paired with 3 GB RAM. On the imaging front, there are 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras. Storage wise, the phone comes in 16/64 GB options (around 7.5/54 GB usable) and non expandable. The big size device gets a big size 3100 mAh battery with fast charging feature.
