Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet launched to take on Apple iPad Air2

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet launched to take on Apple iPad Air2

Surprisingly, Sony gave the Xperia Z4 a miss and launched the Xperia Z4 Tablet as its most advanced device. This is the company’s new  tablet that succeeds the last year’s Xperia Z3 tablet.

The tablet flaunts a 10.1-inch 2K resolution display and is powered by the latest Snapdragon 810 chipset with octa-core and 64-bit processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.

For the camera enthusiasts, it offers a 13-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, all of which is packed under the ridiculously thin and light design with a 6.1mm waistline and 389 grams weight.

The Xperia Z4 tablet comes in two variants, one of which supports 4G LTE while the other is a basic Wi-Fi version that will be available starting June 2015. The tablet is dustproof and waterproof and features cap-less USB port.

Speaking of software, the tablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box and comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office productivity suite.

As afr as the battery back up is concerned, it is powered with a 6,000mAh battery which is supplemented with a Battery STAMINA Mode. Additional features in the tablet include Sony's PS4 Remote Play, DSEE HX processing audio technology, and more.

The company has not revealed the price of the tablet, though considering that the Xperia Z4 tablet is the company's flagship and features high-end specs, it will come expensive.
